Join our 5-day Mount Ararat climbing tour for an exhilarating experience to Turkey’s highest peak, Mount Ararat (5137m). This guided tour includes airport transfers from Van, Ağrı, or Iğdır, hotel accommodations in Doğubeyazıt, and expert support throughout your ascent. Starting from the village at 2200m, we’ll gradually climb to 3200m and 4200m camps, with stunning views and hearty meals served at each camp. The summit day begins early, with the final ascent to breathtaking panoramic views from the top. All equipment, meals, and permits are included, making this a well-supported and unforgettable climbing adventure.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: We will meet at Van Ağrı Iğdır Airport and stay at the best hotel in Doğubeyazıt city.
Day 2: Departure to Doğubayazıt, breakfast at 8 am and transfer by minibus at 9 am. From here, we start your Mount Ararat hiking tour by climbing 3200m (1st camp, 4 hours) by minibus to the translation village (2200m) at the foot of Mount Ararat. The equipment will be collected and the horses will arrive. 3200m. After drinking tea and coffee and listening in the camp, we set up our tents and a hot meal is served for dinner.
Climbing Mount Ararat
Day 3: We wake up at 8 am and start climbing at 9 am, going to the 2nd camp at 4200m (4 hours). We are gathering equipment again and preparing to climb to the top of Ararat with horses in the next 2 camps. Hot food is served for dinner. After dinner, we need to rest before going to the summit, we go to our tents to rest.
Mount Ararat expedition
Day 4: After waking up at 12 o’clock and having breakfast, we start at 1 or 2 in the morning and climb to the top of Mount Ararat (5137m). Crampons may be required in the last 200 meters depending on snow and glacier conditions. We will climb to the summit of Mount Ararat in 5-7 hours and reach the summit around 08:00 in the morning. We return to camp 2 where hot soup and tea are served. After resting for a while, we land our tents directly in the city of Doğubeyazit.
Day 5: Transfer to airport
