7-Day Mount Ararat Tour Program

Day 1: Departure to Doğubayazıt, breakfast at 8 am and transfer by minibus at 9 am. From here, we start your hiking tour of Mount Ararat by climbing 3200m (1st camp, 4 hours) in a minibus to the translation çevirme village at the foot of the mountain Ararat (2200m), the equipment will be packed and the horses will come after 3200m. After drinking tea, coffee and listening at the camp, we set up our tents and in the evening Hot food is served at dinner.

Mount Ararat Hiking
Day 2: To ensure that your Mount Ararat hiking tour is a success, we dedicate this day to better acclimatization. To achieve this we start at 9am and hike up to 4200m (2nd camp, 4hrs). After a short rest, we return to camp 1, where hot meals are served for dinner.

Climbing Mount Ararat
Day 3: We get up at 8 am and start the climb at 9 am, we climb to the 2nd camp to 4200m (4 hours). Again, the equipment is packed and we prepare to climb to the summit of pain in the 2 camps that will come with horses. Hot meals are served at dinner. After dinner, before climbing to the summit, we need to rest, we go to our tents for listening.

Mount Ararat expedition
Day 4: After getting up at 12 pm and having breakfast, we start at 1 or 2 in the morning and climb to the summit of Mount Ararat (5137m). Crampons may be required for the last 200 meters depending on snow and glacial conditions. We will have climbed to the summit of Mount Ararat in 5-7 hours, and we reach the summit around 8 am in the morning. We return to camp 2, where hot soup and tea are served. After resting for a while, we return to camp 1 to pack up the tents and spend the night there. Dinner is served at camp 1.

Day 5: We descend 2200 meters from the 1st camp to the car pick-up point, that is to the translation çevirme village. We say goodbye to Mount Ararat and return to Doğubayazıt by minibus. After resting for a while at the hotel, we visit Noah’s ark to the meteor pit and after a good rest at the hotel, we go to the bath. Farewell dinner. Accommodation in double rooms.
